As part of the Finishing Team at Limbitless Solutions, Viviana combines technical expertise and artistry to craft personalized bionic arms. ABS plastic is thermoformed over 3D-printed bucks, then surface preparation is conducted to ensure paint adhesion and durability. Airbrush techniques are used to apply paint along with protective coatings to deliver a cohesive, polished finish that transforms each arm into a functional work of art.
The core components that form the bionic arm's structural form consists of a combination of 3-D printed, thermoformed, and injection-molded parts. Viviana performs manufacturing of the parts that includes printing and thermoforming. She also performs surface preparation that includes sanding, priming, and sealing to create an ideal foundation. This is then followed by the "Limbitless Silver" process that produces a realistic metallic finish that is both aesthetic and durable.

Each Bionic arm begins with collaboration. By working closely with each patient, we ensure their bionic arm resonates with their personality and tells their unique story. Through careful design, airbrush artistry, and attention to detail, we craft prosthetics that not only function seamlessly but also serve as a source of pride.

Limbitless Solutions celebrated its 10th Anniversary Gala, featuring 15 custom bionic arm sleeves as part of the event. Key partners like Disney, Autodesk, and Orlando Health joined in supporting the organization's mission of empowering individuals through bionic technology and artistic innovation.
For this event Viviana developed a custom metallic finish for the structural arm, named "Limbitless Black" that will be seen in future adult bionic arms. The project involved color formulation and quality checks, ensuring its adoption in future designs. Limbitless Black was showcased at the gala, featured alongside the Halo Master Chief cosmetic sleeve.
Franklin Institute
In collaboration with MDSX and The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, we had the opportunity to create two uniquely designed bionic arms that highlight the synergy of art and engineering to be features in the Body Odyssey Exhibit.

Emberguard
The first arm draws inspiration from the exhibit's concept art, featuring vibrant, dynamic shapes that appear to flow up and down the sleeve like a Lava lamp. Using stencils and gradient airbrushing techniques, we created a color palette and design that not only complements the exhibit’s theme but also enhances the visual sense of movement on the sleeve. This piece is titled Emberguard.

The second arm was designed in collaboration with Microsoft and inspired by Master Chief from Halo 2. This sleeve replicates the iconic character’s armor with painstaking attention to detail, including the distressed and weathered finish seen in the game. This project required precision and close adherence to the likeness of Master Chief, blending artistry with technical accuracy to deliver a design true to the beloved character.

This research aimed to explore the artistic effects of color shifting paint and UV reactive paint and whether it can be successfully utilized to elevate the final product of our bionic arms and provide new avenues of expression for our bionic kids. The pink Warrior Princess sleeve showcases a vibrant, saturated color scheme that comes together with the added Black Light Finish to create a harmonious, playful, and energetic design. The orange Serenity princess sleeve utilizes an analogous color scheme alongside the Color-Shifting Paint and smooth gradients come together to create a sophisticated, regal, and soft design.
